What a year 2012 was! Lots of things for me... Getting married, new responsibilities at work, Project-T and all the little things that make up the year! On the Tech side there has been some pretty cool things that popped up in 2012 in the automotive scene, let's have a peek at my TOP 5!
5. Kiwi 2 Wifi - OBDII Tool from your Smart Phone
via PLX Devices |
In 2012, they released their Wifi version! So now, you can connect up the tool to your OBDII port, link up via Wifi and then using compatible apps, display them on your smartphone! Neat-oh!
4. Viper StartSmart - Siri Voice Activation
via Directed |
One add-on they created was a SmartStart system where you can start your car from a remote location using your phone! In 2012, they took it to the next level by having the SmartStart system in an iPhone app and just by talking to Siri, you can start your car! zomg!
3. GReddy Profec B-Spec II

The new GReddy Profec B-Spec II is just plain sik.
2. GReddy X Rocket Bunny 86 / FR-S / BRZ
via GReddy-USA
Man, GReddy had an awesome year! One big-ass piece of tech they released in 2012 was none other than the Rocket Bunny Aero kit for 86 / FR-S / BRZ! Seriously one awesome piece of kit right there!
The aero kit widens the already phat ass but to fit those massive wheels and offsets, you need to cut into the original metal fenders! Check out the pic below posted on the FT86CLUB forums by member FT-86GOD!!

Cutting up your BRAND NEW ride for a set of 275/30R19s housed by the loving embrace of GReddy X Rocket Bunny fenders? I'll take two thanks ^__^
And finally... The best till last (in my opinion anyways)... It would of been tied with the Rocket Bunny but because of the monster that it is, it simply destroys all competition....
Please welcome the awesome bit of tech for 2012....
